Since 2002 Urban & Rural have operated in Houghton Regis, covered by our surrounding branches in Leagrave & Dunstable, the success of which has earned us an enviable market leading reputation. Our longstanding strategy follows changes in consumer behaviour since we had a physical branch in Houghton Regis after which we introduced our first hub concept here in 2009, the 'Urban & Rural Hub' has now expanded to three locations and works seamlessly to support our 12 branch network.

Whilst there is still a huge need for physical branches, businesses the size of ours can expand into surrounding areas by committing resources and marketing to those locations whilst working from local established premises. There has been a rise in centralised hub operations for property professionals in busy central areas across the Country and with the concept now proven we have made the decision to introduce our very own hubs in Bletchley, Luton Central and Houghton Regis with further hubs planned

All property marketed will be available at each of our 12 branches across Beds & Bucks as it always has been and our team will be promoting the Houghton Regis hub properties as their primary focus. All property is also actively promoted at our local hubs and available at our associated office on Park Lane, Central London.

Times are changing and we are able to utilise an established network of branches and the latest technology to deliver what we feel will be an enhanced service to our clients by investing even more into marketing on both traditional and digital platforms.

About Houghton Regis...

Located in the south of Central Bedfordshire, Houghton Regis is currently a medium sized town of approximately 17,280 residents, and around 7,300 properties. The town is divided into three wards: Houghton Hall, Parkside and Tithe Farm. Currently the Town is served by the Bedford Square shopping centre, a large Morrisons supermarket, two petrol stations and many neighbourhood shops, a wide range of local businesses and professional services, 8 schools and Dunstable college, a leisure centre, medical practitioners, library, various community facilities including the Memorial Hall and the Angels Lane Community Centre, and various open spaces, parks and recreation grounds and sporting facilities. In the 1960s and 1970s, when the housing estates of Tithe Farm and Parkside were built, the town changed beyond recognition going from a rural village into a small town in a short space of time. The town faces a similar challenge as we are again on the brink of a period of extensive growth as the Town is set to double in size by 2030. Development will be wide spread across the northern boundary and will incorporate housing, employment, retail, industry, education, community facilities and open space and recreation provision. Further detail is provided on the Town Council’s website in due course and in the resident’s newsletter, the Town Crier. NEW projects happening around the town are: HRN1 (Houghton Regis North 1 – M1 to Bedford Road development), HRN2 (Houghton Regis North 2 – Bedford Road to A5 development), A5-M1 link (Dunstable Northern Bypass), and the Woodside Link, although many other smaller scale developments will also be forthcoming.
